Patrons Board members: This is a reminder that John Keene's informance for La Boheme is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 16 in the Choral Room (room 115) of the LSU School of Music. John will discuss Puccini's beloved score and singers from LSU Opera will perform selections from this celebrated work. The Patrons Board is the sponsor of this informance and I hope all of you can attend. A reception will be held in the Faculty Lounge of the School of Music immediately following the informance (around 3:00 pm). The Beards will bring the "basic" items for the reception: sandwiches, cheese and crackers (toothpicks), cookies, cokes and sprite (cups, ice, and ice chest), coffee (cups, sweetners, creamers, stirrers), napkins, and paper plates. If you would like to bring something to add to the food and drink, please do so. Additional items would be appreciated, but are not necessary. The Faculty Lounge will be open to receive any items you bring immediately prior to the informance, from 1:30 -2:00 pm. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the Patrons Board meeting on Oct. 11 to discuss these events. As to publicity, BRAVO members have been apprised of the informance and will be reminded of it at next weeks BRAVO luncheon. Information will be included in the Patrons renewal letter mailing, and I have asked Dawn to give the informance some publicity. Of course, the informance and reception are free and all are invited.
