LSU Musicians need your help now!
Over the next few years, LSU’s School of Music will lose 100 premier scholarships totaling $1.2 million in annual funding. These scholarships have been unique tools for recruiting and supporting the finest musicians from around the world.

Losing these scholarships will affect, in essence, 25% of our musician student body, thus diminishing the calibre of our School significantly in years to come.

The losses will touch every aspect of our School: voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, musicology, theory/composition, jazz studies, music education.

Furthermore, the quality of performances enjoyed by LSU audiences will suffer, as the lack of scholarships affect the students in our Wind Ensembles, Orchestra, Opera, Choirs, Jazz Ensembles, and Tiger Band.
